How the Couple Met
The story of Emily and Blake traces back to their high school days, where a simple introduction through mutual friends set the foundation for a lifelong partnership. Growing up together allowed their bond to mature naturally over the years, turning a sweet adolescent connection into a deep, unwavering love. When the time came to take the next step toward forever, planning a wedding that truly reflected their journey was the ultimate goal.
The Wedding Day
When the long-awaited day finally arrived, the atmosphere was filled with romance and effortless elegance. Emily stepped out looking breathtaking in a classic white strapless ballgown with a full, structured skirt, perfectly complemented by a lush, all-white bridal bouquet from Cultivated Blooms featuring creamy roses and delicate calla lilies. Her bridal party stood by her side in soft sage green gowns of varying silhouettes, carrying matching white floral arrangements that tied the aesthetic together seamlessly. Blake looked sharp in a crisp black tuxedo, ready to greet his bride at the altar.
The Details
The ceremony space was anchored by floor-to-ceiling windows that flooded the room with natural light. Elevated pedestal floral arrangements by Cultivated Blooms framing the couple added height and grace, while white hydrangeas lined the aisle floor. Guests watched as Emily and Blake exchanged vows under the warm sunlight.
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the reception, where a cohesive design motif tied every detail together. The signature floral-and-vine print was woven seamlessly throughout the day, backing the framed seating chart, draping the cocktail tables, and dressing the lounge area with patterned pillows alongside sage-striped accents. Indoors, the statement head table featured linens in the same botanical print, paired with ornate gold chargers and soft sage napkins. Tables were anchored by tall clear glass vases with sweeping floral tops, adding height to the room.
The musical ambiance was elevated by live saxophone melodies from Saxophonist Kelvin Evans, who moved through the room, entertaining guests during dinner and filling the space with soulful sound. A sleek three-tier white wedding cake created by 3:14 Cakes served as a clean, elegant focal point, tastefully accented with white roses and soft greenery. As the energy reached its peak on the dance floor, the couple surprised their guests with a quintessential St. Louis treat—Imo’s Pizza, providing the perfect late-night fuel to keep the celebration going into the late hours.
Favorite Moment
“Our favorite wedding day memory was after all the planning and anticipation, finally standing next to each other and becoming husband and wife, surrounded by the people we love most. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more.” – Emily and Blake
