Alexis and Très’ wedding day wasn’t just a ceremony; it was a high-fashion, soul-stirring experience that transformed the heart of St. Louis into a private sanctuary of elegance. From the quiet morning moments overlooking the Mississippi to a reception that felt more like an exclusive gala, every detail was a testament to a love that is as bold as it is timeless.
How The Couple Met
Alexis and Très’ modern romance story started with a bold move on social media. Alexis shared a sweet photo of herself on Instagram, and Très—never one to miss an opportunity—took that moment to “shoot his shot”. Shortly after this digital connection, fate intervened: Très, on a trip back home from St. Louis, ran into Alexis. From that moment on, he never let her out of his sight. They affectionately refer to April 29, the day he first reached out on Instagram, as their “Gotcha Day.” But the question is…who got who?
The Wedding Day
The day began high above the city at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, where the atmosphere was one of sophisticated anticipation. Alexis prepared for the day in a suite that felt wrapped in the clouds while, across the property, Très leaned into the classic “gentleman’s club” vibes of the hotel’s lounge spaces. Tammi Camp Photography moved seamlessly between these spaces, capturing the contrast between the bride’s airy, ethereal morning and the groom’s grounded, classic preparations.
Alexis and Très’ outdoor ceremony was held on the Four Seasons terrace, offering an unobstructed, breathtaking view of The Arch. The floral design was nothing short of sculptural. Instead of traditional arches, modern black pedestals held lush, asymmetrical arrangements of hydrangeas and roses in shades of terracotta, peach, and cream. As Alexis walked toward Très, her cathedral-length veil caught the breeze, creating a literal “vows that wow” moment as she stood against the vast Missouri sky. It was a moment of pure, cinematic romance—the kind captured with effortless precision by Tammi Camp Photography.
Moving indoors, guests were transported into a space that defied traditional ballroom expectations. Utilizing dramatic, floor-to-ceiling forest-green draping, an intimate, moody atmosphere was created. The focal point of the dinner service was the serpentine layout of the long, winding tables draped in rich terracotta linens. This layout didn’t just look incredible; it encouraged a flow of conversation that felt communal and warm. Tammi Camp Photography’s ability to capture every detail was on full display. From the macro shots highlighting the unexpected organic details of the tablescape to the warm, amber flicker of dozens of ribbed glass hurricanes and the dramatic, floor-to-ceiling forest green draping.
As guests enjoyed a gourmet meal catered by the Four Seasons, the air was filled with the rich tones of live musicians. Vocalists were spread throughout the space, their performance turning dinner into a private concert that felt deeply personal to the couple’s journey. One of the most unique elements of the evening was the intentional division of space, creating separate zones for dinner and dancing within the Four Seasons’ expansive ballroom. Once the last toast of the reception was made, the drapes parted to reveal a high-energy dance floor. The transition was seamless, taking guests from a sophisticated sit-down dinner to a vibrant celebration.
The night reached its crescendo when the party spilled back outside to the patio. As if the stars themselves were joining the celebration, a surprise firework display erupted over the St. Louis skyline. It was the ultimate “wow” factor, a burst of light and color that mirrored the joy of the newlyweds!
Alexis and Très’ Favorite Moment
In a beautiful nod to their heritage and to honor African-American culture, Alexis and Très incorporated the meaningful tradition of jumping the broom into their wedding ceremony—a profound and jubilant celebration of their black love. The couple shared their first dance, a moment made deeply personal and unique, to a song specially written for them by Alexis’ beloved grandfather.
