Vows That Wow: Kendall & Daniel’s Chic Botanical Affair

Welcome to the latest edition of “Vows That Wow”! At Wed Society | St. Louis, we are privileged to receive submissions of truly gorgeous weddings from across the St. Louis area. Each celebration is made possible by our immensely talented vendor community and the wonderful couples who generously share their day with us. Every month, our editorial team selects one wedding that stands out for its beauty and uniqueness to be featured in this exclusive piece.

This month’s Vows that Wow was a stunning, design-led celebration centered on a fresh, botanical aesthetic. By seamlessly blending vibrant shades of pistachio and moss across everything from the bridal party’s sleek attire to the modern floral arrangements, Kendall and Daniel effortlessly transformed their estate celebration into a stylish, memorable affair.

HOW THE COUPLE MET

Some love stories take their time to unfold, quietly laying down roots before bursting into full bloom. Kendall and Daniel first crossed paths during their college years. It wasn’t until a simple connection on Instagram years later that the two were reconnected, turning a casual memory into a continuous conversation. What began as a digital check-in quickly revealed an undeniable connection, setting the stage for a romance that was always meant to be.

THE WEDDING WEEKEND

The festivities kicked off early with an unforgettable day before the wedding, setting a joyful, laid-back tone for the entire wedding weekend. Friends and family gathered on the grounds of Knotting Hills Wedding Venue & Resort for a relaxed rehearsal and evening of quality time together, making the most of having everyone in the same space. Maggie with Desert Luna Photo was on hand throughout the pre-wedding celebrations, expertly capturing all the fun family moments, candid laughs, and heartfelt anticipation during the rehearsal—including a particularly meaningful touch: the bride wearing her mother’s repurposed wedding gown for the evening.

When the big day officially arrived, Kendall and Daniel welcomed their favorite people to a seamless transition from the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception. Choosing the lush estate allowed everyone to fully immerse themselves in the joy of the occasion without ever needing to leave the property. The atmosphere felt vibrant and stylish, thoughtfully balanced with effortless elegance and unforgettable high-energy moments as guests gathered across the grounds to celebrate the two best friends.

THE DETAILS

From the lush floral arrangements to custom personal touches, every corner of the day felt tailored specifically to Kendall and Daniel’s unique taste. A custom pickleball setup added a playful, modern aesthetic to the wedding weekend festivities, setting a celebratory tone that carried from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day.

Every detail of the wedding day was curated with intention, seamlessly weaving together meaningful tradition and contemporary flair. Floral Play set a stunning visual tone with artistic arrangements featuring crisp white blooms contrasted with lush green hydrangeas and striking organic greenery, bringing an elevated, modern botanical aesthetic to the venue. Kendall’s bridal party complemented this lush palette impeccably, dressed in sleek shades of pistachio and moss green.

Among all the beautiful design elements, one heartwarming gesture truly stole the show. Kendall surprised her mom with a deeply sentimental gift: a custom drawing depicting Kendall in her bridal gown standing side by side with her mother, dressed in her own vintage wedding gown. It was an incredibly tender, full-circle moment that honored family heritage and emotional ties in the most beautiful way.

During the reception, Glow Booth STL snapped guest portraits, capturing radiant smiles and high energy throughout the night, and a beautiful vintage-piped confection from 3:14 Cakes served as a sweet centerpiece for the cake cutting. To cap off the unforgettable weekend, Kendall changed back into her mother’s repurposed gown, ready to dance the night away!

FAVORITE MOMENT

“My favorite memory was waiting in the tent with all of our wedding party before walking down the aisle. Everyone was so giddy and excited! I had nervous butterflies and couldn’t believe we had made it to this moment that I had waited so long for!” -Kendall
