Welcome to our latest edition of “Vows That Wow”! At Wed Society | St. Louis, we receive breathtaking weddings from across the region, each brought to life by talented vendors and couples who trust us to share their story. Every month, our editorial team selects one celebration that stands out for its beauty, personality, and thoughtful details to be honored as our monthly winner.

Libby and Dominick captured our attention with a wedding that blended West Palm Beach flair with St. Louis Country Club vibes, weaving Southern tones and inspiration throughout every moment of their day.

How the Couple Met

The story of Libby and Dominick began on a front porch at the University of Dayton. Introduced by mutual friends, these two Dayton Flyers likely didn’t realize that a casual afternoon spent with friends would eventually lead them to the altar at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in St. Louis. What started as a collegiate connection blossomed into a lifelong partnership, proving that sometimes the most profound chapters of your life begin in the most unassuming places.

The Wedding Day

Libby and Dominick exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones during a full Catholic mass ceremony at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Beau Son Strings provided the serene musical backdrop, featuring a violin, piano, trumpet, and male vocals.

Libby looked absolutely divine in a Mia Grace Bridal gown adorned with a beautiful bow and a trailing train. This stunning selection perfectly captured the day’s “Style-Minded” aesthetic. To complement the look, the wedding party embraced the day’s chic pastels and patterns with light blue, mismatched yet perfectly coordinated bridesmaid dresses. The gentlemen also dazzled in crisp blue suits. As a perfect nightcap, Libby changed from her gown into a reception dress beaded with bright florals.

Beau Son Strings also transformed the cocktail reception atmosphere from the very first note, filling the outdoor space with elegant, emotive music that set the tone for the entire evening. Their violin and cello duo added a refined yet romantic energy to the celebration, creating a seamless transition from ceremony to reception. The timeless sound of these professional strings elevated every moment. Guests enjoyed another truly unforgettable experience, choosing a refreshing drink from either the lavish “ring for champagne” wall or the monogrammed bar. The bar itself was beautifully appointed with custom cocktail napkins, stir sticks, and matches, all provided by Fête Society.

The “Florida flair” design palette flowed seamlessly throughout the celebration, creating a romantic and one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Every corner of the celebration featured intentional touches. Custom monograms were seen on many details throughout the entire day – from Libby’s needlepoint clutch to the three-tiered, sophisticated cake. The floral design was nothing short of spectacular—a deliberate and bold choice of bright, statement blooms carried from the bridal bouquets to the reception details. The reception tablescapes tied the theme together with rattan candles, white and green bespoke napkins, menus, and hand-written notes serving as placecards for each guest.

The evening culminated in a truly interactive culinary experience. Moving beyond the standard dessert table, “Strolling Cannolis” were presented to guests. It was a delicious, unexpected treat that ensured a sweet ending to the night.

The Couple’s Favorite Moments

While the aesthetics were flawless, the true “wow” factor lay in the couple’s commitment to their faith and their guests. For Libby and Dominick, the ceremony was the “crux of the day.” By planning a full Catholic mass with intentionality, they were able to center their celebration on their most deeply held values. “Our favorite wedding day memory was giving communion to our guests during our mass. It was so special to make eye contact and have that special moment with each of our guests. I am so thankful we planned this so intentionally. It is something we will remember forever,” Libby noted.
