Welcome to our latest edition of “Vows That Wow”! At Wed Society | St. Louis, we receive gorgeous weddings from across the city, each made possible by talented vendors and the wonderful couples who share their day with us. Every month, our editorial team selects one wedding that stands out for its beauty and uniqueness to feature.
This month, Natalie and Patrick’s wedding stole our hearts by pairing elegance with a romantic garden-party feel, weaving soft petal pink hues and meaningful details into every moment of their day.
How the Couple Met
Natalie and Patrick’s friendship began in the summer of 2018 when they met as interns working in the Footwear Industry in St. Louis. Though they returned to different universities that fall, they stayed in contact over many years and through long distances. After graduation, they both launched careers in the Footwear Industry, making time to see one another whenever they were back in St. Louis or traveling for shoe industry conventions. Finally, in 2022, their “official” love story began! A fun twist: Natalie was actually friends with Patrick’s little sister in high school, but she didn’t meet her future husband until years later at work.
The Wedding Day
Natalie and Patrick tied the knot, surrounded by family and friends in a meaningful ceremony at the historic Shrine of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Natalie looked like an actual princess in her all-over lace ballgown, featuring sheer long sleeves, a scalloped sweetheart neckline, and a dramatic full skirt.
To complement Natalie’s princess-inspired gown, the bridal party featured a look that was both modern and whimsical. The bridesmaids wore matching petal-pink dresses from Mia Grace Bridal. These structured satin gowns perfectly balanced sophistication with a touch of playfulness, thanks to the standout oversized bows on the shoulders.
The soft pink palette was woven throughout every detail, tying the entire vision for the day together. With the celebration feeling like a modern garden party, the bride described it as “a perfect pink dream.” A stunning custom bar served as the evening’s central focal point, designed to match the celebration’s sophisticated aesthetic. Enhancing the dance floor, a lush floral chandelier hung overhead to complete the romantic, enchanted garden atmosphere. The wedding cake was a true masterpiece, adorned with fresh, delicate blooms that mirrored the day’s floral arrangements.
From the centerpieces to the custom bar, the petal pink-and-white palette was carried throughout, creating a cohesive and whimsical celebration.
Capturing the Memories
When it comes to documenting a day this beautiful, Emily Broadbent Photography was the perfect choice. Emily is known for her bright, authentic style, ensuring that every detail—from Natalie’s robe, hand-crafted from her mother’s wedding gown, to the joyful emotions at the Shrine of St. Joseph—was captured with clarity and heart. Her ability to use natural light to highlight the couple’s love created a truly timeless gallery. Natalie and Patrick noted that “her kind and joyous personality was infectious the entire day. She is the best!”
